The problem with modern operating systems is that older programs and games will have trouble running normally. If you manage to run them at all, you won't be able to do so at a comfortable resolution, not to mention that you may have trouble running them on multiple monitors. This is where PrgLnch comes in. It gives you the possibility of running games and applications at higher resolutions, on multiple monitors, which is particularly useful for older titles.

PrgLnch is free and open source, and you can have it up and running on your computer in no time since it doesn't need to be installed. It is compatible with all modern Windows systems, including Win 10, and it doesn't have any special requirements, so you can run it right away, without any distractions.

The software comes with a compact user interface, on which you can pick between different presets and hit a button to run their corresponding programs. You can set up a preset on a separate window, of similar proportions. The application lets you target one or more programs, set a default resolution for them, which can be as small as 640x480 or as large as 3440x1440. Additionally, you can decide to run the program in borderless windowed mode, assign the targeted program to a specific monitor, and make other fine tweaks.

If you have more than one programs targeted, you can decide to run them all in batch mode. Just select them on the main interface, click a button, and the software will launch them one by one, using the settings you've made. It may involve a few extra steps than double-clicking an icon, but PrgLnch will make your old programs and games feel like they belong on your modern operating system.

Running old programs and games on a modern system won't involve any resolution problems if you decide to use PrgLnch.

Pros

You can run old programs and games with a resolution of your choice. You can also run them on multi-monitor setups. The software is lightweight, easy to use, and you can have it up and running in no time.

Cons

The interface's design seems a bit old.
